Pearly Whites

When Asher knocked his tooth out a couple of months ago (the upper-right lateral incisor, if you're interested), the two teeth next to it were also knocked loose, but not loose enough to take out.  The dentist hoped that they would firm back up after a while, but it wasn't happening, and they were sliding over and getting pretty crooked.  We went back for a regular dental check-up last week and the dentist said that they would probably fall out on their own sometime in the next six months.  Not to be outdone by their neighbor, Asher's two front teeth contrived to come out with some drama.  Just a few days after Asher's check-up, Asher and Simon were wrestling and managed to smack their faces together, leading to our second emergency dental visit in just a few months.  Asher is now down three teeth.  He wasn't too upset about losing them.  In fact, he was pretty stoked about the prospect of ice cream for dinner. (Although he did ask me a few days later why he always knocks his teeth out and Simon never does.)  My greatest fear was that the tooth two over from the original hole would fall out, leaving one tooth in between and making Asher look like Gollum.  At least we avoided that regrettable fate.  I actually think he looks much better now than with the one tooth gone.  Plus he talks a little funny now, which I think is cute. Asher would like you to know that he used his tooth money (which was a lot more than it probably would have been under normal circumstances because I felt sorry for the kid), in combination with a birthday gift-card that Toys R' Us sent him, to buy a lego car.  He wants to be sure that you know that he bought it all by himself!

Simon would also like you to see his teeth.
Simon, who never knocks out any teeth

Simon got that big scab on his nose by pretending to be Maximus the horse from Tangled and crawling around with his nose pressed to the carpet to sniff out Flynn Rider.  Although, if you ask Simon what happened he will tell you that it was Asher's fault.

Ah, brothers.

Don't remember anyof us ever losing teeth. This is new.
