Today in the car, I had the following conversation with Asher:
Asher: Mom, when I was a baby in your tummy, I couldn't wait to come out.
Me: Why couldn't you wait? What did you want to do?
Asher: I wanted to color. That's why I couldn't wait to come out.
Coloring seems like a random answer to that question, but for Asher it might not be. He really, really loves to color. And draw. And paint. He spends some part of every day using crayons, markers, colored pencils, chalk, or paint, and his creations are even starting to look like what he intends them to be.
Today, he chose a different medium to express his creativity: Legos. Here is his masterpiece:
It's an excavator. He didn't have any instructions. He just made it. He did, however, base his work on the following:
But, hey, even the great artists used models.

Love it all, especially that excavator! It will be so fun to see what all these little people become as they grow up. Same with us big people, I suppose.
That's why I signed up for earth life: coloring. Satan was far too hasty in the design of his brochures.
Asher is so talented! Those Legos look just like the picture. I wonder if he will grow up to be an architect or something equally creative.
That is impressive! Good job, Asher!
Genius child! I would expect nothing less.
Have I ever told you how much I love your blog. You're a great writer, Kristi. Great job with the Legos, Asher! I'm very impressed :)
