Nothing in Particular

I haven't said anything here for quite some time.  That's because I haven't had much of anything exciting to say.  Our month has mostly been taken up by babysitting:
(Asher "reading" books to our little friend Betsy)

and goofing around:

I gave Simon his first real haircut:
Not so obvious from the pictures perhaps, but I promise, he's about a thousand times cuter.  Have I ever mentioned that I hate fluffy, wispy, messy baby hair?  Yuck.  If I ever have a girl, I don't know what I'll do.  Probably keep her hair short until it thickens up and smile and nod at all of the strangers telling me what a cute little boy I have.

I've also done a handful of little sewing projects.  Here's Asher wearing his new apron (for preschool, because he's so mature now):

And I've decided that it's time to get serious about decorating my house, now that we've been living here for more than a year.  If I ever manage to complete any single room, I'll post pictures, but don't hold your breath.

Oh, and we've re-started potty-training.  We quit for a while after trying the pull-ups because Asher actually had more accidents while wearing them and I was tired of being mad at him.  We're mostly doing the remind-Asher-to-use-the-toilet-often-and-let-everything-slide method.  So far we're pretty consistently dealing with two or three accidents per day, but at least they're only wet ones.  And there are still two more years until Kindergarten, so I figure we've got time, right?

More coherent posts to come.  Maybe.  If I feel like it.

So we spent 8 months of potty training and had a million accidents. Gave it up for a couple months and tried again and he got it! He'll get it. Hang in there. I was convinced Tyson would never catch on.

I LOVE the goofing around picture of Simon and Dad, and, my, what a manly apron that is for Asher!

Haha, I just glimpsed my word verification word and it is unpsyo, which is practically unpsycho, which is very appropriate for me, don't you think?

Kris, have I yet mentioned how attractive your children are? Hugh looks pretty adorable in that picture as well. Also, I very much enjoy the little A for Asher apron -- too cute! I may have to enlist you when I have children and they need aprons...and costumes and school clothes, bedding, hats, socks, earmuffs...
