Ten trendy baby names (Can you say "ten trendy" ten times fast?)

So, despite Kristi's late night burrito induced declaration about never getting pregnant again, and due to our struggle to find an adequate name for the burrito, we have begun casually searching for fun names again.  Note, nobody is actually pregnant.  Ok, I'm sure somebody somewhere is pregnant, but we're not. In our searching it seems all trendy names sound alike.  Has anyone else noticed that a great majority of trendy boy's names end in -en/-ar/-or?   ("And the girls were all named Britney?!"  Name that movie anyone?)

Which is what makes the following funny, which we found here

Ten words that would be trendy baby names if they weren't already words

Brightly
Craven
Jailer
Keister
Neighborly
Savory
Shyly
Slogan
Straighten
Trailer

Pretend the words don't have any meaning (especially hard with Trailer) and you can picture your trendy pregnant neighbors picking one of these as the name of choice.

Disclaimer: Lest anyone be offended by this post, keep in mind our own burrito fits into the -en/-er/-or category.

P.S. For the baby-name hunter out there,  Ancestry.com has very thorough definitions for almost every name.  The Baby Name Voyager is fun to play with too.  It shows a hundred years of naming trends for the 1000 most popular names.  Very helpful to parents who don't want their child to be one of the sixteen Ashleys in kindergarten.

PPS.  The burrito's new trick: balancing on my hand.

Hercules. I just quoted that line the other day :)

I love the list. I know that despite my best efforts, I too will fall for the trendy names, come our turn to pick one. :)

That's an awesome picture, Hugh
